Who We Are
Hines Architecture + Design (HINESAD) is a collaborative design studio shaping spaces that reflect identity, connection, and purpose. Founded by Daimian S. Hines, our work spans civic and cultural institutions, memorials, commercial projects, and urban-scale developments—from Houston to Southeast Asia, the Caribbean, and beyond.
We are driven by the belief that architecture can support dignity, foster community, and respond meaningfully to both history and future need. Whether designing a museum, campus, workplace, or public plaza, our approach remains the same: responsive, intentional, and committed to design that endures.
What We Value
We believe architecture is a cultural act. It carries meaning, holds memory, and shapes how communities live, gather, and grow. We value process as much as form—placing collaboration, listening, and respect at the heart of everything we do. We design with equity in mind, with excellence as standard, and with beauty as a result of care, not pretense.
How We Engage
Our work is rooted in inquiry—each project begins with a question, not a preconceived solution. From memorial parks and sacred landscapes to workplaces and performance venues, we engage with clients and communities to uncover what space can do and who it should serve. Our process is rigorous, layered, and guided by the belief that great design is always site-specific and people-centered.
We welcome partnerships with public and private clients who are looking to build with intention—whether the result is a civic campus, a cultural destination, or a commercial landmark that reflects its place in the world.
