HINESAD Commissioned to Design New Community Center in Fresno, Texas

A New Civic Heart for Fort Bend County

HINESAD has been commissioned to design a transformative new community center campus in Fresno, Texas, advancing the County’s vision for a civic and recreational destination that brings people together and supports everyday life.

The proposed design will consolidate key county administrative functions alongside new public amenities, including a multi-purpose event center, flexible meeting spaces, an internet café, and a natatorium—all pinwheeling around a central public plaza. The project also includes 15 acres of revitalized parkland featuring sports fields, walking trails, and a reflecting pond, creating a landscape that supports recreation, health, and gathering year-round.

For HINESAD, this project represents an opportunity to shape a lasting civic legacy—one that reflects the growing identity of the Fresno community while expanding access to vital public resources.
